Diversity is a core value of Bocal Majority. We believe that organizations can be powerful platforms for social change and our strong desire is to strive for equality for all individuals. Creating a welcoming culture of belonging is very important to us. To that end, we are committed to the following diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives

  • Reaching out to the diverse population of young double reed musicians who make up the students interested in our camp via multiple platforms
  • Offering scholarships to assist in removing barriers that could prevent students from attending camp due to financial need
  • Hiring a diverse faculty and staff at all levels of our program
  • Providing diversity and inclusion training to all of our staff members each year

We are excited to share that we provided funds for students to attend camp who may not have been able to do so without financial assistance.

We are pleased to continue our scholarship program aimed at encouraging students who identify as BIPOC to attend Bocal Majority Camps. Apply here by May 1, 2024:
